Dephi to Berlin

On May 21st and 22nd the Art of Living Hellas is organizing a special event in Delphi and you are invited!

On the 21st and 22nd of May at a beautiful ceremony in Delphi, the Art of Living Hellas will plant a symbolic olive tree and take an olive branch from this historic site to the World Culture Festival in Berlin. There will also be music, mythology and meditation and a sunset ceremony above the magical site of Delphi with work by Angelos  Sikelianos. This poet held the first Delphic Festival based on that ancient Vedic idea, valued by the Ancient Greeks and displayed over the entrance of Delphi, 'Know Thyself'.

The Peace Weekend in Delphi will be a part the biggest Peace Festivals the world has seen. Over one hundred and fifty countries will come together to celebrate a common desire for a violence-free stress-free world. This festival in the Olympic Stadium in Berlin on July 2nd and 3rd 2011 will have music, yoga, meditation and a frank exchange of ideas. It will include a youth festival, a woman's festival and will unite all those who believe that the time for change is now.

This is more than a celebration. Participation sends a message of hope, harmony, encouragement and unity at a time when we are surrounded by conflict, economic meltdown and the gradual deterioration of our planet.

This week-end is part of the Art of Living organization's worldwide initiative to create a stress free, violence free world through courses and humanitarian work in areas hit by man-made and natural disasters. In bringing together countries and cultures on July 2nd and 3rd in Berlin they will celebrate harmony in diversity, seeking the common ground and shared values that will nurture peaceful coexistence.
